Caliber Crossflame Silver 35″ Gas Grill On Cart Review

Share on:
Caliber Silver 35 Inch

Caliber’s Crossflame Silver 35″ Gas Grill competes well with luxury grill manufacturers Lynx, DCS and Twin Eagles. All the expected elements are here: high quality 304 stainless steel construction throughout, seamless welded, spring assist hood, excellent fit and finish and plenty of fire power. Their Crossflame burners and heat tents, which they refer to as “Crossflame Radiant System”, are designed to provide improved heat distribution over traditional configurations.

Their Crossflame burners appear to be a variation on U and H shaped burners that spread the flame across the lower firebox. They are a rectangular grid of tube burners, arched in the middle. Their unique heat tents rest lengthwise from left to right, rather than the conventional orientation of front to back. At 25,000 BTU each, only two burners are needed to service the 30″ x 18″ primary BBQ grill surface. See below.

Shiny steel enclosure with a U-shaped tube inside and steel rod grate positioned above on the left.   Shiny steel enclosure with four arched rectangular pieces of metal inside. Steel rod grates are positioned on top in the lower left.

Chint steel gas grill with lid up showing unusual steel rod cooking grates, One on the left sits down low and one on the right is positioned higher.

Another unique feature is their two position stainless steel cooking racks (above). Set low for high temp cooking and flip over to move the cook surface away from the heat. Zone dividers create further separation for 2-zone set-ups.

Control knobs are illuminated with yellow LEDs, providing a little different look than commonly used blue and red lights. Inside are halogen hood lights and a removable warming rack. The two door cart stores your LP tank with room to spare.

Also available in a larger, 41″, three-burner model. Rotisserie with 15,000 BTU IR backburner is optional.
